Morning

Today we have a moderate northern flow over the central part of Carinthia, which provides a promising opportunity to try out a low launch in Radsberg, south from Klagenfurt. So we are setting off to its direction now hoping to get an interesting flight down there.

On Radsberg Take off

We see that our assumption about the conditions was right and paragliders are already in the air. This low launch exposed to SE wind direction is affected by the valley wind and allows us to fly today even with a slight N flow up there, so we are getting ready to get airborne soon.

Today was the day for our pilots to try something new. It was a new take off with peculiar thermaling conditions affected by varying wind at different altitudes, so one needed to be focused and flexible to get it right.

After the flight we spent some time on discussing successful climbing techniques using the tracklogs of the day as examples.
